Today I started on a vacation for a few days. It’s been a long time I had taken a break from work; I think the last time I took a break was when I went to Assam last year (2012 April) to spend a few days with my friend, Arijit.
On the first day of my vacation, I started the morning by reading a book about Steve Jobs. Not one of those fatty tomes, but a rather slender and exceedingly well-done graphic biography/comic titled, “Steve Jobs – Genius by Design”.
The book ends with that immortal passage of contemporary advertising, Here’s to the crazy ones:
Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. But the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. While some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.
